[2024/01/14 15:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: One of the men: "You're not one of the dark elves..." he raises his bow a little, then pauses and looks to Atilla
[2024/01/14 16:00] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "One of our servant races," he explains in a half truth. "Destructive in battle."
[2024/01/14 16:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Right..." says another guy, waving the first one back. The sick guy writhes on the ground. "We'd better get him in... to our healer," the two men who were hunting him say. They reach under his arms and start to drag him in.
[2024/01/14 16:03] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (What's the area we're in like, we're inside the camp at this point? )
[2024/01/14 16:05] Sonja Bikergrrl: (It's more a largeish cavern; there's a fairly hastily but sturdy wall across the cavern with a gate and gate house. The humans have a small cave system, doubtlessly mined out and reshaped to suit, but outer walls are still a thing to keep intruders at bay)
[2024/01/14 16:06] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ( And being humans they have under-defended the ceiling? ))
[2024/01/14 16:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: (If "under" you mean "haven't", then, yes.)
[2024/01/14 16:09] Alicia Frakture: Skamos raises an eyebrow at Atilla."Servant races? Hurtful." She whispered before looking at the group." Now what?"
[2024/01/14 16:11] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Atilla simply moves to walk in as well like they're supposed to be there, using confidence as a tool.

[2024/01/14 16:13] Sonja Bikergrrl: The humans aren't exactly hostile but they aren't exactly welcoming, either; the attitude is rather like that of kids when a distant aunt arrives while they're having a party in the parents' absence. A few just stand in the way, not wholly sure what to do. "Here, where are you going?"
[2024/01/14 16:14] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "We're here to talk with your matriarch," he aswers simply.
[2024/01/14 16:16] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Matriarch!" one repeats, as if not sure he heard right. "He means leader," another says, "they got female leaders." "Oh." The knowledgeable one says: "You and you, show our friends to guest quarters, and... you... you go get ... er... Aleena."
[2024/01/14 16:17] Sonja Bikergrrl: Two guys move closer, while two others hurry on into the cave system, the rest go back to their positions
[2024/01/14 16:17] Alicia Frakture: Sure, let's go."Skamos follows the lead

[2024/01/14 16:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: The path leads in, and after passing what looks like a store or a guardhouse (cave equivalent, of course), the tunnel turns to one side where there is a larger cave with smaller caves opening in. It would be the equivalent of a meeting area with quiet alcoves, the stones recently dug/laid.

[2024/01/14 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: Yep. Stone bricks and stone flagstones, but, obviously freshly laid in what was a natural cave.

[2024/01/14 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Wide enough for single file to go either way; human height appropriate, so you're probably looking at 6-8' square
[2024/01/14 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's fairly spartan, even by Underdark standards; it looks like they came a while ago, and planned to stay a while, but not for a very long time
[2024/01/14 16:26] Alicia Frakture: Once in the room are we left alone?
[2024/01/14 16:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Think of pre-fab huts around a large building site. There for a while, but not for keeps.)

Short cropped blonde hair, a stern expression and a scar on one cheek, this one has a certain bearing of authority. Judging by her choice of weaponry - a sling and a morning star - this one is a cleric of some sort. The two sent to fetch her follow behind her.

[2024/01/14 16:42] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Might this humble worm inquire...." he finds his servility to females hard to shake even with these inferior species, and it's a decent screen for his real feelings, "As to the nature of the pendants your people all wear?"
[2024/01/14 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: The cleric pauses. "We're not here to trade." Then, to Atilla: "They're, er, protective amulets, they help us identify our friends down here."
[2024/01/14 16:44] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: He nods his head and narrows his eyes, suspecting a half truth in her words. "Blessed by your surface gods?"
[2024/01/14 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: The cleric pauses again. "Something like that, yes, by gods, certainly. Now if that's all..."
[2024/01/14 16:46] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Their reticence to explain which gods in specific is noted.

[2024/01/14 16:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: The amulets seem rather symmetrical, although they appear to have randomly arranged coloured beads. If they're actually holy, you've no idea what god, although admittedly you're no expert on surface deities.

[2024/01/14 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: The guards escort you gently but firmly back to the front gate, and they close the main gate behind you. "Watch yourselves out there," one of the men say.
[2024/01/14 16:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: The deity remains unnamed, however, and how you sneak back is a cliffhanger for next time ;)
